Lab Partners Ace x Reader Part 2 AU

The four of you sat at two tables that were pushed together to form a square. Your teacher handed you each an envelope.

"Your project will be to document as many species as you can find in a forest. The location is enclosed in another group members envelope. Each species will earn you 4 points on the project. There are no limits to the amount of points you can earn. For each species you find, you must take a picture, identify it, and organize it into a 1" binder. You will be allotted 9 days (starting tomorrow) to complete this. I have notified your teachers that you will be gone for that time, and you may make up the work when you return. I advise that you do not stay for the entire time, as you may want a day or two to put together the binder. 

When you are collecting data, do NOT harm the animals. The one and only exception is fishing in the permitted lakes, and rivers.

You will be staying in a cabin, and you will be accompanied by Mr. Li Roux (Shanks), and I will drop by the cabin every other day to make sure you all aren't dead. There are no mattresses, so you will want to bring an air mattress, as well as proper bedding, and your standard camping things. There are showers, and a lake near the cabin. Bringing a fishing pole and net would be a good idea, and if you desire, anything needed to go swimming. You should go shopping for food today. I advise not buying too much food that will need to be kept cold. There is a small refrigerator in the cabin. Divide the cost however you wish, but I will be giving you a $75 gift certificate to (Supermarketname) to help you all pay for the trip. It is in your envelope.

I will be providing you each with a waterproof camera. Anything that is alive within the area of the forest is fair game to be recorded in your binder. The data that you collect will be added to the groups who did this project last year, and the years before that. Be sure to do your best!

You couldn't believe your eyes, you were kind of going to go on vacation, and get a grade for it! The only downside was that the forest could burn down while you're in it, and that you'll be stuck with four guys for a week or more. You pulled out the gift card from the envelope. 

"What's that?" Ace asked, raising his eyebrows.

"A gift card to help pay for the food for the trip." You stated simply. 

"For the rest of the class, you may make plans on how you will go about tackling your project." Your teacher said. "Good luck to all of you!" 

"I think we should do the shopping today, meet with Mr. Li Roux, and get everything set to go as soon as possible." Pineapple head said. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"So, meet at the nearest (Supermarket name) after school?" You suggested and took out a sheet of notebook paper and a pen. "We should probably make a list of things to buy."

"I can go talk to Mr. Li Roux. I have him next period." Ace volunteered and leaned back in his chair.

"(Y/N), was it?" Pineapple head asked.

"Yes?" You answered and swung your feet below the table. "And what's your name? I can't seem to remember it."

"It's Marco." He said. "You aren't allergic to anything, are you?" 

"(Nope!/ I am, but I have medication for it)." You responded. "Should I start a list?"

"Go ahead." Marco said. Everyone started listing off names of food. You ended up with a pretty long list.

"Yee-haw!" Thatch cried out. He whizzed by in a shopping cart and then crashed into a display of toilet paper.

CRASH

"... Cleanup and security to aisle 9, the teen with the freckles, and another with a pompadour are at it again."

You looked up at Marco. "Shall we pretend we don't know them so we don't get kicked out?"

"Good idea."
